You’re invited to a Metro Vancouver workshop on July 23, 2019 on single-use item reduction in the region.
Metro Vancouver is developing a Single-Use Item Toolkit to provide its local government members with single-use item reduction resources and best practices to support them in their initiatives. Priority single-use items to target for reduction include bags, cups, containers, straws, and utensils. The toolkit will be published later in 2019 and will be publicly available on our website. Municipalities will conduct their individual analysis, engagement, and enforcement strategies. For more information, follow this link to our webpage.
Metro Vancouver is engaging with other levels of government, member jurisdictions, businesses and organizations with an interest in single-use items as we develop the toolkit. In June 2019, we hosted a webinar with business stakeholders to share our recent work. At this workshop, we will provide an update on the toolkit development, engage in plenary discussion, and request your feedback.
