City of Burnaby – 2020 Environmental Awards Program: Call For Nominations!

Nominations are now open for the 2021 City of Burnaby Environmental Awards Program!

The City of Burnaby is looking for individuals, community groups, businesses and organizations that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to advancing environmental sustainability and protecting Burnaby’s natural environment. 

 There are six (6) categories for award: Business Stewardship, Communications, Community Stewardship, Green Choices, Planning and Development, and Youth

 And two (2) levels of awards: Environmental Award and Environmental Star *a maximum of one Award and two Stars are awarded per category

The attached Terms of Reference provides detailed information about the program, the award categories and the process

 Those selected to receive Environmental Awards and Stars will be announced at the regular meeting of Council on May 31, 2021 Awards will be presented at a Council Meeting on June 28, 2021 either in-person or virtually, depending on provincial health guidelines in place at that time

If you know of a candidate that deserves recognition for their outstanding environmental leadership then put their name forward!
