Starting in 2015, all businesses in Metro Vancouver will need to separate food from regular garbage. Does your business need help getting ready? If so, free help is available.
Metro Vancouver has retained a local consulting company to work with select restaurants, bakeries, and grocers to help them set up organics recycling programs. The program is seeking a variety of businesses from different cities, and with different types of waste profiles and garbage collection needs. The program runs to fall 2014. Metro Vancouver will produce a series of case studies profiling the different organics recycling solutions implemented by the participants.
If you own or operate a small- or medium-sized food industry business in Metro Vancouver, you may qualify to receive free help setting up your in-house organics recycling program. If you are interested in applying to take part in this program please complete the application form found here.
For more information, please contact the program lead, Sophie Agbonkhese by phone, at 778-995-4829, or by email. If you have questions for Metro Vancouver, please contact Lucy Duso at 604-436-6876.
Availability in this program is limited. Businesses will be selected in order to provide the widest variety of case studies possible. Completion of the application form does not guarantee participation in the program. The Project Team will contact you to further discuss your business’s needs.
