Our Pledge:

• Participate in Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up in various cities across BC this year
• Continue our environmental initiative to save trees by using TreeFrog Paper – 100% tree free paper products – as our internal choice of paper throughout our Canadian offices
• Participate in Tree Planting Initiatives within the Ontario region in October 2013
• Continue to educate Ricoh Canada staff on the importance of Environmental Awareness through free quarterly seminars on Ricoh and the environment
• Continue to educate staff on environmental importance through our Eco-Action month in June of every year
• Prince George BC: Continues to collect batteries, pens, bottles, glass, paper, etc to appropriate recycling depots to avoid landfill
• Our warehouse in Delta, BC implemented a new procedure to recycle Styrofoam & Plastic products.
• Warehouse in Delta BC: Installed a Cardboard recycler at their back dock (now our trucks do not have to do weekly runs – this is now picked up by Waste Management)
• Vancouver office and warehouse was converted into Eco – lighting (sections of the warehouse lights automatically go to Sleep mode when no movements in the different areas to conserve energy

Past/Ongoing Actions:

• Ricoh Canada uses TreeFrog paper as their internal choice of paper. 100% tree free paper products
• Quarterly seminars on Ricoh and the Environment for internal staff
• Office machines throughout Canada are automatically set to duplex mode to save paper
• BullFrog Power is being used in our Ontario Warehouse
• Ricoh Global has designated June as EcoAction month where we highlight the importance of sustainability practices and encourage all branches across Canada to participate in various activities aimed at sustainability
