Our Pledge:
- moving from plastic wrap to corrugated paper product
- adding compost bucket to the kitchen
- moving to online billing/payment options
- creating better efficiencies in transporting our goods
- reusing packing products in the warehouse
- completing Climate Smart training and using reduction strategies
- will undergo an energy audit through Livesmart
- encourage transit use or carpooling options
Past/Ongoing Actions:
- internal building rennovations were done to silver LEED standards
- Building rennovations used recycled steel, low VOC paint/glues and marmoleum flooring
- utilizes a programmable thermostat
- recycles products collected under BC steweardship programs
- participating member of Recycling Council of BC
- delivers an electronics reuse program
- recycles kitchen waste (cans, bottles, newspaper etc)
- keep HVAC system clean
- keep unused lights off/use LED lighting
- educate staff on sustainability
