Organics Garbage Ban Info Session for Business
Starting in January 2015, new environmental regulations will mean that all businesses will need to abide by the Metro Vancouver Organics Ban and separate their garbage from their organic/compostable waste. Organic waste will not be accepted as part of mixed garbage any longer and will need to be separated at your place of business before being hauled away.
As part of our Pledge for a Sustainable Community intiative, the BBOT will be holding a special info session on November 21 about these regulations, how they impact your business, and what you need to do to be prepared. Hear from Paul Henderson, General Manager of Solid Waste Services with Metro Vancouver, the City of Burnaby, and from businesses which have already sorted out how they will be in compliance.
For more information on the Organics Ban you can download a FAQ sheet here or visit our Pledge for a Sustainable Community site for continual updates on environmental issues.
