BBOT Business Innovation and Sustainability Event Highlights Breadth of Sustainability Innovation in the Community

Thanks to everyone who made this year’s Business Innovation and Sustainability event such a success! Held at the Element Hote,l it featured rapid-fire talks from Karen Storry (Metro Vancouver) on eliminating Textile waste from our landfill, Adam Corneil (Unbuilders) on deconstruction as opposed to demolition and his goal to re-use and reclaim previously purposed wood, Ninna and Winston (BC Bee Supply) on the importance of nurturing urban hives, Allan Langdon on the future of recycling at Return-It, Ian Levitt on Trans Mountain’s commitment to being sustainable, Andy Lewicki from Ricky’s on driving sustainable performance through a restaurant chain and finally to Fortis for driving sustainability metrics through their business.

 

This event provides a snapshot of what diverse organizations are doing to increase their sustainable performance.
